Tim's home church is Jackson Baptist. Tim and Marcia were appointed by CBInternational in 1983 and minister in Italy . They have two children, Nate and Erin (in picture). The Monahan's primary ministry is leadership training and church planting focused on creating a unified movement of evangelical Italian churches. They minister to Neapolitans from the Naples region in their church planting work, and to Italians from all over Italy in leadership training. The leaders they train are pastors, elders, and deacons of local churches; however missionaries from other agencies are sometimes being trained as well.

In 1993 Tim collaborated with another evangelical mission organization to start Instituto Centro Biblico in an attempt to bridge the gap between the believers in Italy that are divided in spiritual matters. In the year 2000 the Instituto trained about 200 leaders in six centers located in three major Italian cities. Tim has been the President of the Instituto since its beginning. Tim and Marcia also minister in local churches. After helping to revive the church in Arco Felice, they returned to Pastor a church they formerly planted in Lago Patria while seeking Italian leadership.
