Friday nights, built for students
FUSE is where students in grades 6–12 spend Friday nights. It's built around three things: opening up God's Word in a way that actually connects, playing hard, and building the kind of friendships that hold up during a hard week at school.
You don't have to be a member of Jackson Baptist. You don't have to know anything about the Bible. You don't have to come with anyone. Students who have never set foot in a church are welcome here, and so are students who have grown up in one.
What a Friday night looks like
Ninety minutes, start to finish.
We start together
Prayer, and a chance to share highs and lows from the week.
Teaching
A message aimed squarely at where students are right now.
Games
Outside when the weather allows, inside when it doesn't. This gets loud.
Food and hangout
Snack and time to just be together.
We close together
And everyone heads home by 8:00.
Students entering 6th through 12th grade
Younger siblings in Kindergarten through 5th grade meet at the same time for AWANA, so families can drop off everyone at once and pick up everyone at once.
Everything you need to know
Where to go
Come in the main entrance. Someone will point you toward Friendship Hall.
What to wear
Whatever you already have on.
What to bring
Nothing. Bring a Bible if you have one, but we'll have extras.
Bring a friend
Seriously. It's easier the first time with someone you know, and your friend is welcome.
For parents
We take your student's safety seriously.
Two-adult rule
Two adults are present with students at all times — never one adult alone with a student.
Cameras in place
Cameras are in place throughout our ministry spaces.
Cleared volunteers
All volunteers complete a child safety clearance before serving.
Care needs
If your student has an allergy, a medical need, or anything you'd like our leaders to know, tell us before the first Friday.
Drop-off and pickup happen inside the building, and students are released at 8:00 PM.
